Sometimes it's good to sing a long with a catchy song!

I don't know how many of you saw the Alvin and and Chipmunks movie that came out a year ago, but one of the songs featured is "You Had a Bad Day." It's a really catchy song, one that's great to sing along with.

http://www.youtube.com/v/PeSStezjj8s&rel=0

This is a link for the music video by Daniel Powter and following are the lyrics:

YOU HAD A BAD DAY

Where is the moment we needed the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to gray
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on

You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee you go
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces every time
And I don't need no carryin' on

Because you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Well you need a blue sky holiday
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on

You had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day

(Oooh.. a holiday..)

Sometimes the system goes on the blink
And the whole thing turns out wrong
You might not make it back and you know
That you could be well oh that strong
And I'm not wrong

(yeah...)

So where is the passion when you need it the most
Oh you and I
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
You've seen what you like
And how does it feel for one more time
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Enjoy! It works for me as a little "pick-me-up" when I'm feeling tense or overwhelmed...and then the song gets stuck in my head so I carry it with me a while longer still!

I've heard the song, but the video is GREAT!

I like the creative grafiti, reminds me of some really good work of collaborative art, and the message is just plain heart warming.

Thank you.

Humor is good. This is a post from my blog that quoted from a local paper. Have a laugh on me and the newspaper!

Headlines for Fun
Our hometown newspaper has a weekly column by Mike Morton. He has a folksy sense of humor, and if I have time, I read it.

Tonight his title was "Headlines to Make Your Head Spin". When hubby and son asked why I was laughing out loud, I decided to back up and read the headlines to them. If you get the paper, read it there. Mike does some embellishing, and you might enjoy the humor.

If you don't get the paper, I'll list the headlines here. If you read them out loud late in the evening to people who are tired, the effect is probably better than in the cold morning sunshine. According to Mike, these are actual headlines.
