Our cousins' little one is very bouncy and bounced his way off the change table. He's broken his leg and a hairline fracture on his shoulderblade. His parents are beside themselves especially as there may be an investigation. They are a young family with two beautiful and bouncy boys - like their Daddy who's an outdoorsman. They are wonderful parents and my cousin is so scared - she's going through this without her parents nearby and I'm in another country. Please pray for the little one to heal quickly and to have no long-term problems. Please pray for the parents, that they have peace and confidence to deal with the social workers and that the truth will shine out without further disruption. Thanks. anne

My prayers, too, Anne.
Those that check incidents like that usually can tell if the bruises are accidental or done by a person. Also, what type of injuries are inflicted by a person.
When my first foster boy got bruises on his legs from just playing hard (he was almost 2) I called the caseworker immediately, and when she came out, she assured me that she could tell they were accidental bruises from playing, and all children got them. I know, your cousin's baby's injuries are not the same sort, but honest people can tell the truth.
May the Lord give the family assurance that He is watching over them and help those who make the decisions to make the correct ones.
Dottie

Just talked to my cousin this morning. The dr. has re-done the x-rays and thinks that the other dr. who said it's a fracture made a mistake - just really hurt shoulder! DHS did open a case with them, but my cousins told what happened and good families do tend to shine. They kept coming back daily and just yesterday, my cousin's Mom was finally able to get there. She spoke to DHS and they have now said that there's nothing to worry about. Yea for Moms!!! Keep them all in your prayers though. They're still at the hospital and the little guy has a lot of healing to still do. Thank you so much! anne

anne, will keep praying.
It's so scary.
Hoping that munchkin heals quickly and that sweet mama and daddy hold up well.

Our cousin's son's cast is coming off in two weeks, he's raring to go. No other problems except trying to keep a small toddler occupied when he's got a big brother (4 yrs) who's off and running. Thank you for your prayers. anne
