ds15a will be going in for surgery for his scoliosis. Pre-op is on Monday, surgery is on Tuesday. dh's mom is coming down on Sat so she can stay with ds15r since I will stay with dsa most of the time. He will be in the hospital 5-7 days, they say, depending on how it goes. dh will take several days off work, but not the entire time.
Prayers would be appreciated.

TB, at their last physical a few months ago, the ped mentioned a very slight curve for dsr. No one has ever mentioned it before, and it's been checked plenty of times. So I don't know if this is the beginning of something new for him or not. It really started shifting for dsa 3 years ago. I'm hoping the fact that it hasn't done so for dsr up to this point is a good sign. Time will tell.

Thanks all. Surgery is tomorrow. Dr said today it will take 4-5 hours. Since dsa will be in the hospital so long, I have no idea if I will be on the boards or not. Good thing is the hospital does have Wi-Fi. So we will see. Take care all. I will let you know how it goes.

Surgery went well. Dr was pleased with how much correction he was able to do. It was more than he thought he would get. dsa is resting pretty well. On muscle relaxers and pain drugs. Lots of bones in the spine got moved around, and the muscles don't like it. Overall he is doing well.
Thanks for the prayers, all.
