Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, 18yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. 19The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. May we all tread on the heights. : Re: Habakkuk 3:17 : Hope October 31, 2014, 05:46:57 PM Love this. This morning I got on the floor in the bathroom and prayed for his peace. It washed over me.

God promised to be there through our trials and suffering, not to keep us from it. Job never knew why and most of us never will either, this side of Heaven. The beginning reminded me so much of all the hopes and dreams we have for our children and how all of those seem to go unfulfilled. But, in spite of the pain God stays by us, even when everyone else on earth leaves us. Thanks, Sherrie |
