...For the family of the 8yo boy struck by a car getting on the school bus this morning in my town. He's been life flighted a couple hours away (our town is very small and not capable of dealing with his injuries). I heard he was talking this morning when he was being life flighted. Hopefully that is a good sign. I AM friends with the family. He's in my son's class. And yes. I know. It's opening up the wounds about Diane for me too. I'm sorry. I just really, really would like your prayers. http://www.wilx.com/news/headlines/143855966.html#.T2u4e_ec998.facebook

Lift up your heart in prayer as I do.
He is in our prayers here at work, too.

The family has not released the severity of his injuries, but have said that he is resting and recovering at a hospital a few hours away.
I'm making the assumption it's a head injury since he was struck by the side mirror of an oncoming van...and he was 8. That would be approximately where it would hit.
Thanks for asking, Justine.

Prayers from here, Neitlingme. Any news on how the boy is doing? How is your son doing? It's a good reminder that you brought up Diane. She's missed. That loss is certainly connected to recent events for you. Had a happy connection there the other day, but the tearing up came nonetheless. Hang in there. anne

He's holding his own. Haven't heard more than that. No news of when he's getting out. My son is....confused? Understands he's very hurt, but doesn't understand really, that he could be "damaged" from this forever. They are talking TBI (True knows about this better than I). It's sad. And yes. Diane is missed. I miss her cheerful stories (especially miss seeing the word munchkin.) My life is better having been touched by her.

So sorry for this boy. TBI does change who you are. Hope they get educated so they can meet needs that might arise.
Miss Diane as well. Wonder how her kids are doing?
