: My name is I am.
: blessingsindisguise August 30, 2008, 09:53:18 PM
I was shopping today and my daughter found this on a little card and showed it to me.

It just seemed so perfect and so timely.

I hope it encourages you like it did me.

blessings

I was regretting the past and fearing the future.
Suddenly my Lord was speaking:

"My name is I am."

He paused.
I waited.  He continued.

"When you live in the past
with its mistakes and regrets,
it is hard.  I am not there.
My name is not I WAS.

When you live in the future
with its problems and fears,
it is hard.  I am not there.
My name is not I WILL BE.

When you live in this moment,
it is not hard.  I am here.
My name is I AM."

Blessings,

Although i am not a religious person, this really meant something to me. i was touched by what it said. im currently going through a time of learning about myself. im discovering and re-discovering things about myself. and i really needed to hear this. Live in the moment.

thats the only real place we have to live isnt it? regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or anything. My name is I Am.

Thanks for sharing.  What a great reminder.  I remember a story about Cory Ten Boom, a famous Dutch Christian who helped Jewish refugees in WWII.   She was going on a trip and was afraid.  Her father was carrying her heavy suitcase for her.  Her father explained how God will not give us the strength in advance to get through a situation, but will provide what we need, when we need it; just as he, her earthly father, was providing the strength to carry her suitcase (burden) to the train.  TBMom

Thank you blessings! Just when I am feeling like I am going under, you really lifted me up! Oh, I truly think our heavenly father is the ONLY one who can carry us thru this time with our children. Thank you!
