Please pray for Mamabee and her husband. Both are dealing with difficult diagnoses. MamaBee is handling it well and has an amazing outlook but please pray God heals her and her husband so they can be here to raise the children they adopted.

Continuing to pray.

From what can be gathered through blood work, it appears that dh has liver cancer. We are waiting until he has a CT scan to find out more. At this point from the numbers showing up in the blood work, it looks like it would take a miracle for a positive outcome. I am feeling peaceful about it all which I attribute to the many people praying for us. I feel as though I have had preparation for this through messages from the Holy Spirit and friends.

Thanks for the prayers. I remained pretty calm despite the fact that he was very sick and had to be hospitalized today. One of my older daughters drove with us to the hosp. while the other one came to my house to watch the kids. I had dropped the kids off at church before we went and the behaved well. The church members drove them home and dropped off a casserole they ate for lunch. So things went well.

Dh is still in the hospital. They are trying to stop the bleeding.
They discovered today that it is liver cancer which though not curable is treatable.It is not too far along. :blob1: :blob1: :blob1:

They have not been able to stop the bleeding which is in his stomach. Yesterday he told me they were going to do surgery to cauterize the blood vessels. Last week they did surgery to clamp off the vessels, but I guess that didn't work.

I'm so sorry this is continuing.  Praying they get this under control.

Mamabee, how was your husband's cancer discovered? Was he having pain?

He was hospitalized twice because he was throwing up blood. He had pain,too. He had a lot of symptoms of being sick for a long time, but he didn't put two and two together. He was always telling me he had the flu. The cancer was detected through a blood test. But last Nov. all they found when he went to the doctor was that they thought he was borderline diabetic, which has now gone away since he's lost lots of weight.

Praying often.

Trust God and know that He has a plan.

Thanks. I am turning him and his health problems over to God who is giving me plenty to do at home. Strep throat is running through the house because one of the kids drinks and eats out of other people's cups and bowls. We have appliances breaking that I am letting limp along. Now it looks like he won't be coming home soon so I will probably call the repair man. Just a bunch of things that are helping me not to be able to think straight. The kids' school is helping out. People are bringing us dinners and providing rides when needed. My old babysitter has come back into the picture which is very helpful. So things are okay.

I am so sorry.

Your hubby's situation makes me grateful that mine is healthy even though he sucks right now.

God will provide the strength to get through each day. Handle what is necessary and try to focus on the priorities. I am so sorry about your husband. I hope he will recover soon. I am glad you have a good church family to help and an understanding school.

Good news. I am still alive. MY new doctor told me this week that with my low blood counts some people would look at it and say,"She should be dead now. But look at you. You are still alive." I told him that God told me he is going to heal me so I am going to believe that.

He started me on the heavy duty chemo this week. They expected my blood counts to go way down. Yesterday they were up high enough that I didn't need a transfusion. He was amazed and thrilled. God is good.

I feel wiped out today, but I am glad there is some good news in this.

My husband is still alive. He told me that they didn't have any good news from his ct scan in the hospital. Yesterday after seeing his oncologist, he seemed to feel better.

God IS good!!  I hope you can get the physical and mental rest you need to deal with the chemo and hope your husband can keep his spirits up.  You are an inspiration, Mama Bee!

Thank you for the prayers. This is also hard on my nine kids who all see it from different perspectives. It is hard to imagine that you might lose both of your parents,if you are an adult. I can't imagine what it would be like at 8 or 9. They all seem to have times that are harder than others. Fortunately not everyone is going crazy at the same time.

I am doing okay. Tomorrow I have my second chemo treatment. All my hair is gone except for some wisps. It feels like a relief. I wanted to cut it for a long time. .

Dh is not doing so well. He seems to be fading. I don't know how long he will last. Miracles can happen, but I am not expecting one at this point. I am praying that he will stay alive long enough for us to have taken care of anything that needs to be done in the way of tying up loose ends and that all of my children can be at peace about it, as much as that is possible.  My older kids were in denial, but he spent the weekend with my daughter at her house and now she sees that he is really sick. Two others seem to get it. The younger ones are still having trouble, but my youngest boy can talk about it saying that he doesn't want Daddy to die because then he won't have a daddy. I have been talking to my worst Rad and telling her that this is a very scary time and that it is normal to be scared. That is helping to calm her down a lot.

My husband's oncologist started him on chemo last week, but another doctor asked him if he had called hospice. He said that he wasn't ready. A nurse told me that you can't have hospice if you are doing chemo.

Thank you for all the prayers. Through all of this, I feel like I am in a bubble or something that is keeping me calmer than I would normally be. My oncologist and my pastor told me that I am handling this better than a lot of other people have done in the same situation. The prayers are causing that I am sure. I am not in despair.

Thank you all. Dh is still here. He had the energy to go out to an event last night. From a distance, I saw a former co-worker of his when she first saw him and I could see the shock and sadness in her face at the difference in him.

I was hospitalized for two days this past week due to a low grade fever from the chemo. It was apparently not a big deal for which I feel fortunate. I was frightened when I was in there that I was not going to get better. Then I felt that the Holy Spirit was telling me that I was never going to have to go back there as an inpatient, but only for a happy occasion.

I was home for one day with no major crisis. Then I got a call yesterday from Protective Services and I/ we have been hotlined. The woman is coming next week to investigate and see all of the children. God is good, all the time. I am pretty sure I know who called. Most likely a close relative.

What a shame that a close relative would call instead of stepping up while you are in the midst of medical challenges. How easy it is for some to sit and judge from afar or near and never attempt to find the truth or help.  :angryfire:

I am glad that you are out of the hospital. Sending warm and happy thoughts to you and your DH.

Praying for your health still, and adding the investigation.  I hope the investigator is compassionate and knowledgeable. 

She sounded very compassionate. When I told her all that is going on she said that she couldn't believe how we are managing.

Hopefully she will be in and out quickly and the investigation will be closed.

I just remind you that CPS is seldom compassionate. Be careful she isn't just setting you up. I have been through several investigations and they try to be all sweet and caring and then use everything you say against you, even taking much of it out of context.

Sherrie you are probably right. I have had cw's lie to me about everything under the sun. I have been a sucker many times and felt like a fool afterwards.

I feel peace about it in a way I never would have felt before.

I am glad you are at peace. You have done nothing wrong and they will see that. I know that I finally got the workers of my son's case to realize I was not the problem. It took them months because their initial mindset is always that the parents are to blame. And, sadly, in most cases the parents are at fault. But, stay calm and only reveal what the worker needs to know. She will not be your friend and I have a tendency to be too honest and say too much.

Please pray for MamaBee1. The next few days with the investigation from CPS will be stressful and her children may or may not be helpful. Pray God keeps her calm and guides her through this ordeal. Pray for her husband to be healed. She needs him and without a miracle he may not be here much longer.

Thanks for the prayers. Tomorrow is the big day, but today eight people, including seven from my church showed up to help clean up and get things straightened out. A couple of them said that they can come back on a regular basis. God is good. I could never have accomplished all that they did today.

How wonderful!  God is very good.

God is good. The woman was a believer. She found no problems and was supposed to do a second visit, but said that she was closing the case.  Hallelujah!
