Dear ones,

I live in Nebraska and tonight the area was pummelled (sp?) by bad weather and tornadoes.

Sadly, an hour north of Omaha, a boy scout camp was hit and four boys were killed when a fireplace collapsed on them.

My heart aches for their families even though I don't believe I know any of the families.

Additionally, the amount of rain that the area has received has just added to the flooding down river, and it's just devestating.

In an area this lightly populated, it is inevitable everyone will know someone that is being affected.

Thanks so much,

blessings

I also heard about the Boy Scout camp - saw an interview on the Today show this morning.  It just amazes me that parts of our country are flooding, some are trying to recover from drought, some areas are burning, etc..  The number of tornados this year has been unbelievable.  We are getting closer to end times - we have had a major earthquake, erupting volcanoe, typhoon, floods, fires, tornados and droughts all within just the past couple of months.

I'll be praying,
Kara

thank you for your prayers.

Found out today that three young men from school (small Christian school, only 250 kids K - 12, we know everybody) were involved.  One is all right, his older brother is still in the hospital with a collapsed lung, and the other young man had minor injuries.

thankfully the weather is calm for a few days.

So much sorrow, I can't watch the news any more today.

Can only pray,

Kara,
That's why when I hear all this talk about how we have to stop global warming, that humans are causing it, etc, I am reminded of the Bible verses that talk about the extreme weather in the end times. I have to wonder if we are on a path that can't be stopped no matter how "green" we try to be. The prophecies said there will be more earthquakes and volcanoes and hurricanes, etc, so if that's the plan, no amount of Flex Fuel will stop it.

I also heve been praying for all those who have been in disasters lately.

But remember, even though these are a sign of end times, the best is at the end when our Saviour comes to take us home.

Just learned tonight that my kiddos know one of the young men that was killed at the scout camp.  They had attended youth rallys with him.

Just so sad.

So sad for all. Extra prayers for your kiddos, it's hard when someone close to you in age dies young.

Hugs,
Chris
