Just learning more about how much help ds16 really needs. Possibility of Asperger's, no appropriate school available, possibility of long term rtc, which may require change of custody. Just need lots of prayers, too much to deal with.

I'm going to my mom's for a week, will try to get on here from my sisters computer.

Thanks,

Chris

Hoi Chris.
Its indeed overwhelming, our kids need so much and get so little, and the road is bumpy.
I will pray for you and hope you can find rest and peace for this week. wave

Thanks for the prayers. Being here is just so strange without ds. It's just not right. I can totally relate to Blessings post when she went on her trip just after her ds went to rtc. I miss ds so much.

I don't know if ds has Asperger's or not, but the therapist who saw him at the special school strongly suggested that I have psych look into it. Besides being a therapist, she has a nephew with Asperger's, so she has first hand knowledge. I'm trying to get myself 'together' before I do much research on it. DH is at home, I'm going to let him handle things as much as I can this week(I may need to remind myself of this, I have all the pertinent phone # on my cell).

Your support is precious to me!

Hugs,
Chris

Any updates on the diagnosis?

I'm so glad that you had some time off to rest.

No updates yet. Still trying to get the psych's nurse on the phone, dh and I have both been leaving messages, going to call all day today until I get to talk to a person and not a machine!! Usually don't have this problem with dr, don't know what's going on.

Aspergers ruled out.

But we have added MRDD to ds list of dx.
Haven't processed this yet, trying to find my way off this merry-go-round.
