An eighth grade boy from my older son's school was killed yesterday in a dirt bike accident.  Please pray for his eternal rest and peace for his family.

I haven't had a chance to tell my sixth grade son yet.  It's a small school with a lot of integrated activity among the middle school students, so I feel fairly certain that my son would have known this boy.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been determined.

Liz

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.

It was a freak sort of accident.  There were a group of boys celebrating a birthday and riding their bikes.  This particular boy hit against some wire fencing which caught him by the neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.  The family has three daughters, and one is in my son's class.  I'm still waiting on news about funeral arrangements and hoping that we can be there.
