Not a super-close friend, but an acquaintance of many years from a hs board, a forum like this one, where we've become family over many years.

One of the moms has an adult daughter with epilepsy. The daughter died in her bed the other night, apparently due to a seizure. No warning. The family is, of course, devastated. (parents are Mary and Jim)

Although we aren't super-close, the loss of a child still hits home. For all the problems our kids have, as long as they're still living, they still have a chance. But dead you don't come back from.  Embarrassed

TIA for your prayers for comfort for the family.

Prayers from here, too.

A similar thing happened to one of the families at our church.  Their thirteen-year-old child with CP died in his sleep.  The mom found him when she went to wake him up to take him to church. She was pretty much a basket case for several months.

My heart goes out to the family and will be praying.  I lost a child at 5 months old and have never gotten over it.

So very sorry to hear this... .  What a tragedy.  My woes pale in comparison.  Will be thinking of the family and you.  Hugs!
