Isn't it comforting to know there's a "Welcome Wagon" waiting us when we go home?  So sorry for you and your family.  It's so very hard to let our loved ones go into the Father's hands, because we just miss them so much here.

I am so sorry for your family's loss. I am glad that he was with family and was not afraid. I hope that can bring you some peace as time goes on.

I'm so sorry about your brother's passing, Justine.  I'm just seeing this, don't know how I somehow missed it.  I'll keep your family in my prayers as you all work through this sad time.  ((((((((Justine)))))))))

Thank you everyone.  Spent an hour on the phone last night with his oldest daughter, my first niece.   Made me even more at peace for how he left this world.  It couldn't have been more of a blessing for all of us the way things worked out.   God was in the details.

Thanks all.  Leaving tomorrow am for a whirlwind trip to MI.  Day and a half drive up, day and a half with family (and for funeral), day and a half back down.

The good news?  Looks like NW and I are going to be able to meet for a very quick visit!!   We are passing within 5 miles of her MIL's hometown.  Hoping for some good, safe travelling time tomorrow so we can pull this off Friday am.

We'll definitely let everyone know if it works!  Thanks all for your kind words and cyber hugs.

Have a safe trip!  Glad you and NW will be able to connect.  Trust your time with family will be something special in spite of the sadness.   wave
